McDuff, The Talking Dog was a Saturday morning live action television program that aired on NBC in 1976. The show centered around the ghost of a 100-year-old sheepdog who used to live in the home now owned by a veterinarian, Dr. Calvin Campbell. McDuff could talk not only to the other animals, but also to Dr. Campbell. However, Dr. Campbell was the only person who could hear or see McDuff, which often led to wacky situations.
Dr. Campbell’s neighbor, Amos Ferguson, was played by Gordon Jump, who would later go on to WKRP in Cincinnati fame.
The story starts in Dakota Crescent, an old estate which is going to be reclaimed by the authorities for redevelopment. The story centres around three protagonists living in Dakota Crescent, Zhou Fa Da, Ye Xiao Ying and Zhang Wei Xiong. Big Brother Fa Da, Wei Xiong and Xiao Ying are the three musketeers of the neighborhood, people often refer to them as "The Heroes". Within ten years, Wei Xiong has become a capable lawyer, Xiao Ying now has a wife. During these ten years, Big brother left Dakota Crescent without a word. Nobody knows of his whereabouts, not even Wei Xiong. This led the neighbours into making wild speculations about his disappearance. Some said he was involved in a kidnapping case, other said that he was in prison. Ten years later, Big brother is finally back. He still retains his strong sense of justice and is prone to impulsiveness, hence turning the neighborhood upside down. However, he refuses to reveal the reasons behind his disappearance.
Buster's World is a Danish children's television series and movie from 1984. Based on a play by Bjarne Reuter, Buster's World deals with the experiences of young Buster Oregon Mortensen. The television series was a break-through for director Bille August, and the soundtrack also provided a hit for the young singer Nanna Lüders Jensen.
Mrs. Hope is a charismatic octogenarian widow, living alone in a pleasant apartment in Lisbon along with her cat Baltazar, since her husband died, years ago.
Mrs. Hope is not like some other older people. She likes ballroom dancing, aqua aerobics sports and from time to time visiting the neighborhood chapel to say goodbye to her old fellows who passed away letting escape some less orthodox comments that make laugh even the most serious.
She had two sons, but only one is alive - Artur. He is married with Leonor and together they have a son Rodrigo, a wild teenager and the only Mrs. Hope grandson.
Herminia is her best friend, but her truly fellow is Paulina, a bold Angolan woman, mother of the teenager Joyce that Mrs. Hope considers as her goddaughter.
