The series, starring Sudesh Berry as CID Inspector Bharat in the main lead, was directed by Gautam Adhikari and produced by Shri Adhikari Brothers Limited. In the drama, Inspector Bharat and his assistant Inspector Srivastav formed a formidable partnership in solving crimes, mostly murder mysteries. ‘Inspector Tsukuda Jirō’ is a police drama series that aired on Nippon Television’s ‘Tuesday Suspense Theatre’ from 1996 to 2005. It ran for a total of 21 episodes. The series was based on works by Shizuko Natsuki and Hitoshi Igarashi. It starred Teruhiko Saigo. The first instalment was set in Kanazawa City, Ishikawa Prefecture, with Tsukuda appearing as a detective at Kanazawa North Police Station.
