The series tackles many issues that go on behind the scenes in the wrestling world including drug use, steroid use, and sex. The series gives the public a glimpse of what the lives of pro wrestlers are really like. The series was created by independent filmmaker Greg Hemmings.

The series educates and thereby protects unsuspecting victims from all sorts of scams. The show is expected to begin its second season in late 2009. Each Fraud Squad TV episode is split into two fraud topics per episode.

Initially showing only rescue footage, it later became a companion to the show Most Shocking and like its sister show, it features footage of police chases, daring rescues, auto accidents and other crazy and outrageous content and sometimes could be scary for some viewers. Urban Legends is a 30 minute 2007 television documentary-style series hosted by Michael Allcock. David Hewlett became the new host in 2011. In each episode, three urban legends are dramatized and presented to the television audience; the audience is then to speculate which one or two of the three is true. Each legend has witnesses to tell the story. For the one or two fake legends, the witnesses are actors, while the true legend uses real people affected by the story. Included in each episode are two quick quiz-like stories, called mini-myths, which air before the commercial breaks. Each will begin with the number of the mini myth and its name, followed by the story. After the commercial, the answer to the mini-myth is announced and the rest of the programming continues as it previously had. The show originally aired on the Biography Channel in the U.S., History Television in Canada and FX in the United Kingdom where it was hosted by Mark Dolan. It has also aired in Argentina, New Zealand, Sweden, Norway, Australia

The series airs on The Biography Channel. Some episodes of Mobsters are rehashes of the similar TV Series American Justice as well as Notorious (TV series), both series that were originally broadcast on Biography Channel's sister channel, A&E Network; some episodes also rehash segments from another A&E series American Gangster, which began airing on the Black Entertainment Television channel. The only differences are the intro of the episodes and the lead-in's after commercials. Besides this, the rehashed episodes are no different in any way.

The series was produced by Kismet Productions in association with SBS TV Australia. Presented by Maeve O'Meara, each episode covers cuisine from a particular culture. Usually starting with commonly used ingredients and where to obtain them in Australia, it then moves onto the preparation and consumption of popular favourites, basic dishes and desserts. The series was rested in 2008 after the airing of the third series with a spin-off series, Italian Food Safari, airing in 2010, presented by O'Meara and chef Guy Grossi. A second spin-off series, French Food Safari, aired in 2011 and was presented by O'Meara and chef Guillaume Brahimi. Food Safari was commissioned for a fourth series and will return February 14, 2013.
