Following on from the first series of Pirate Islands, The Lost Treasure of Fiji is essentially a computer game. The characters find themselves pulled into this alternate reality world, and must try to find their way back out.

Kevin is stuck in a boring holiday park with his family, when he discovers a video-tape from an obscure 1980s TV show. When he plays the video he accidentally unleashes a strange creature known as the Pooka into the world. The Pooka causes chaos and Kevin gets the blame. His family don’t believe him when he tells them it’s the creature’s fault.
A colonel during the 1640s English Civil War gets killed, leaving his four children in the care of their aunt. For fear of their safety the children were sent to a forester's home in the forest. While there they encounter numerous adventures, including assisting King Charles who has also escaped from captivity.
The story is about the life of a middle-aged woman played by Mehrane Mahin Torabi, who is a university professor and has a successful professional life, but despite being single, she is a kind mother to all her siblings' children and even the neighbor's son.
