Summer is here and we are in full summer mode. Tons of time hanging out by the pool and hanging out with friends every day. BUT part of me, like many parents, starts worrying about the dreaded summer slide. So many kids fall behind in reading and math. My kids read all the time, they inherited my love of books. But math? Beechwale is a story of today’s middleclass man who’s stuck between his aspirations and values. He dreams of having a big house, car, foreign trips etc. but is folded back by his limited income. Bobby Beechwale’s grandfather was a freedom fighter with “Bapuji”. “Bappuji” had lovingly given him a name that of "Beechwale", which he lovingly added to his surname, as he was found caught in the middle of any given situation. He was in the middle during the freedom fight and had been beaten up by the Britishers and now this generation is getting beating by the system. Beechwale family still seeks answers of all their problems from “Bapuji” because they still believe “ Bapu” dekh raha hai.
