Watch Mr. Wizard was an American television program for children that demonstrated the science behind ordinary things. The show's creator and on-air host was Don Herbert. Marcel LaFollette said of the program, "It enjoyed consistent praise, awards, and high ratings throughout its history. At its peak, Watch Mr. Wizard drew audiences in the millions, but its impact was far wider. By 1956, it had prompted the establishment of more than five thousand Mr. Wizard science clubs, with an estimated membership greater than one hundred thousand."
It was briefly revived in 1971, and then in the 1980s was a program on the Nickelodeon children's television network as Mr. Wizard's World.

The Arthur Murray Party is an American television variety show which ran from July 1950 until September 1960. The show was hosted by famous dancers Arthur and Kathryn Murray, and was basically one long advertisement for their chain of dance studios. Each week the couple performed a mystery dance, and the viewer who correctly identified the dance would receive two free lessons at a local studio.
The Arthur Murray Party is notable for being one of the few TV series—the others were Down You Go; The Ernie Kovacs Show; Pantomime Quiz; Tom Corbett, Space Cadet; and The Original Amateur Hour—broadcast on all four major commercial networks in the 1950s during the Golden Age of Television. It may, in fact, be the only series which had a run on all four networks at least twice.
This comedy drama centers on the married couple—Urara Kubota, a DJ played by Yuki Kudo, and her husband, Kazuo Kubota, a landscape gardener played by Hiroo Otaka. Since the wife is a DJ, there are many scenes where she reads listener messages sent to her radio show, and the story often begins with these moments. Set against the backdrop of everyday life that could happen anywhere, the story—woven together through lighthearted conversations—creates a unique world that defies any specific genre.
Each episode deals with an issue through the lives of Khamis and Abdullah and what goes on in their diary, including Khamis's disputes with his neighbor Abdullah and his greed, and the estrangement between Abdullah and his brother Sweilem due to his refusal to marry him, in addition to other important ethical issues.
