Ōkiku naru Ko (大きくなる子 Children growing up) was an educational Japanese show, produced by Studio Nova, that aired on NHK through April 7th, 1959, to March 18th, 1988. It was created for 1st and 2nd-year primary school students in Japan, teaching them lessons like morals and how to act at school. The show is more notable for the Monkey Puppet meme portrayed by the main protagonist Pedro.[1] In the 1980s and 1990s, the series was also aired in Latin America under the name "Niños en crecimiento". This was the penultimate season of the show, airing from April 13th, 1984, to April 4th, 1986, in Japan.[2]Poko

Produced in Canada by Halifax Film, a DHX Media Company, Poko was created by Jeff Rosen, It began production in 2003 and ended in 2006 after three production cycles. Poko is still broadcast in Canada on CBC Television in the Kids' CBC programming block, is still broadcast in Turkey on Yumurcak TV and in Australia by ABC. The series followed the adventures of Pebbles and Bamm-Bamm as pre-schoolers with Dino, the Flintstones' family dog as their babysitter. Unlike the original Flintstones series and its several spin-off productions featuring the kids and their famous parents, this show focused more on educational values and lessons for children. It was commissioned by the BBC for its CBeebies channel, and by Disney Channel for its Disney Junior block. Named after the Tingatinga art from Tanzania, it was made in Kenya by a studio of about 50 people. The music is by Kenyan singer-songwriter Eric Wainaina.
