The ‘Terminal Station Series’ is a police drama series produced by TV Asahi and Toei, which aired intermittently on the TV Asahi network from 8 December 1990 to 22 December 2022. The protagonist, Detective Ushio, was portrayed by Shigeru Tsuyuguchi in the first four instalments and by Tsurutaro Kataoka from the fifth instalment onwards. Kazuo Ikehiro served as director for the entire series from the first instalment onwards.
The series is based on the mystery novel series *Detective Ushio’s Case Files* by Seiichi Morimura.
