Def Poetry, also known as Russell Simmons Presents Def Poetry or Def Poetry Jam, which was co-founded by Bruce George, Danny Simmons and Deborah Pointer, is an HBO television series produced by hip-hop music entrepreneur Russell Simmons. The series presents performances by established spoken word poets, as well as up-and-coming ones. Well-known actors and musicians will often surprise the audience by showing up to recite their own original poems. The show is hosted by Mos Def. Def Poetry is a spin-off of Def Comedy Jam. As he did on Def Comedy, Simmons appears at the end of every episode to thank the audience.

The Pitch is an unscripted series from AMC produced by Studio Lambert that goes behind the scenes on the pressure on America's top creative ad agencies competing to pitch a new account. Each week the two agencies go head-to-head in a presentation known as The Pitch, with only seven days to prepare. The series premiered on Monday, April 30, 2012 and was promoted with an hour-long sneak preview on April 8, 2012 preceded by a Mad Men episode. The show was given a green light in April 2011. In June 2012 the Broadcast Television Journalists' Association nominated The Pitch for a Critics' Choice Television Award in the category of Best Reality Series - Competition. On August 16, 2012, AMC renewed the series for a second season. The second season premiered on August 15, 2013.

The show was co-hosted by fellow "geeks" Yumi Stynes, Ruben Meerman and Dr Stephen Bosi. The program aimed to demonstrate scientific principles and debunk common myths and fallacies, although Kruszelnicki and Spencer were disparaging of similar programs such as Discovery Channel's MythBusters and Sky One's Brainiac: Science Abuse. Sleek Geeks was one of the first batch of television programs offered for sale in Australia on the iTunes Store. Sleek Geeks Season 2 aired from 11 November until 30 December 2010, on ABC1 on a Thursday night at 8.00 pm.
