Much of the network's programming was taken from previously aired WE tv wedding programming and wedding-related motion pictures, with little new content offered outside of promotions and on-screen quizzes. Also offered solely on Cablevision systems was interactive television components such as quizzes, polls, voting, and advertising opportunities for national and local wedding retailers. Unlike WE tv, which was a successful spin-off of AMC itself in 1997, the network had only limited distribution, only being carried on the systems of Cablevision, a limited amount of Time Warner Cable systems, and Mediacom. The Judge was a dramatized court show which ran in first-run syndication from 1986 to 1993. The series chronicled the family court cases heard by Judge Robert J. Franklin, played by Bob Shield, who died in late 1996. This was one of many shows that dealt with dramatized court cases based on real ones. This show was one of several courtroom dramas that were popular at that time such as Divorce Court with real-life Judge William Keene and Superior Court with Raymond St. Jacques. The show was produced and licensed by WBNS, and was distributed by Genesis Entertainment before it became part of 20th Television.
