Charlie and Lola is a British animated television series based on the Charlie and Lola books written by Lauren Child. It aired from 2005–2008. The animation uses a collage style that emulates the style of the original books. Three series were commissioned by and initially broadcast on the BBC between 2005 and 2008. The series are produced by Tiger Aspect and have been subsequently broadcast in more than twenty countries. The series has won multiple BAFTA awards.

His chunky bread is delicious but his soup is way too weak. And they never sail lost, because the helmsman is Stien Struis! She's as strong as a beer, but she's as strong as a mouse. And Steven Quiet, you never hear him, because he can't talk. Even if he really wanted to, he never sings along with the lie!
These sailors are also there for each other during busy times. All chickens are on deck for Piet Piraat and his crazy gang!
Crisanto is a soldier lovingly married to his wife, Beth, but is forced to be sent away to fight in a war someplace else, leaving his wife and daughter, Liza, behind. One day, the opposing side ambushed Crisanto, and he protected Flor and Florida by helping them hide inside the house, as a consequence, Crisanto becomes gravely injured when he is sent home, and unknowing of their secret affair, Beth hires Florida to be Crisanto's nurse. Eventually, Beth allows Florida's daughter, Flor, to stay over at her house and Flor eventually befriends Liza, however their friendship will be threatened by their parents' intertwining love stories.
University student Minoru Niijima is a timid young man who gives up on his girlfriend's older brother after being threatened by him. Minoru's father, Seiichi, is a tired office worker nearing retirement, and his mother, Reiko, is an ordinary housewife who is considerate of her husband and believes her children are well-behaved. Minoru's younger sister, Yoko, is a second-year high school student, but to Minoru, she still has the childishness of a middle school student. One day, Minoru is persuaded by his university friend, Karaki, to commit a sexual assault on a train. Unfortunately, the girl he chooses is a female student from a delinquent group, and he ends up being beaten up by the delinquent group. However, the new member of the group who appears before Minoru is his younger sister Yoko.
