In 1944, the New Fourth Army won the Battle of Che Qiao, and the Japanese army then occupied the major transportation routes along the Yangtze River in an attempt to stop the growth and development of the New Fourth Army. The team learnt that the Japanese military was secretly working with Yokota Dojo and Toyo Corporation to develop Chaoyang City into an important intelligence station and supply base for the Japanese army. The division decided not to let the ennemy get away with it. In the ensuing battle, Nie Tian Ming leads a team to destroy the secret organisation of the Japanese Chamber of Commerce, intercept a large amount of valuable information and join forces with the Four Seas Martial Arts School to defeat Yokota Dojo. After a series of life-and-death battles of wits and bravery, he eventually matched up with a large force to annihilate the enemy and liberate Chaoyang City. After the September 18 Incident of 1931, calls for resistance against Japan grew. Feng Yuxiang and Ji Hongchang, along with Wu Chengfang of the Communist Party, worked to form the Anti-Japanese Allied Army in Zhangjiakou. Ji, influenced by the Communists, joined the Party and became a leader of the Allied Army. The movement gained broad support, but Chiang Kai-shek and the Japanese launched a campaign against them. Despite the challenges, Ji Hongchang continued his efforts to resist Japanese aggression and save the nation.

"Löwengrube – Die Grandauers und ihre Zeit" is a German television series first aired between 1989 and 1992, created by Willy Purucker and directed by Rainer Wolffhardt. It is set in Munich and follows the lives of Ludwig Grandauer and his son Karl, both policemen, covering the years from 1897 to 1954. The TV show is based on Purucker's radio play series Die Grandauers und ihre Zeit (‘The Grandauers and their time’). The series’ main title "Löwengrube", meaning ‘Lions’ Den’, refers to the address of the Munich Police Headquarters inaugurated in 1913.
