Hosted by Paul Lafrance, a contractor who owns Cutting Edge Construction and Design in Pickering, Ontario, each episode depicts Lafrance and his team designing and building a unique and dramatic deck for a client. Prior to launching his own series, Lafrance appeared on several episodes of Breakfast Television and Holmes Inspection. Lafrance subsequently also launched Deck Wars, a spinoff program in which he moderates a competition between two homeowners each building their own decks.

The show is produced by Morgan Langley & John Langley, the producers of the reality television series COPS. Street Patrol is made up of outtake footage from COPS that did not originally air. Many of these segments are from the early 1990s. Segments of Street Patrol often contain less action scenes and more police procedural work, and the series has earned a reputation from some critics as being less interesting and exciting than COPS. For a time in October to December 2012, reruns of Street Patrol aired on the G4 cable network.

AFP: American Fighter Pilot is a reality series broadcast briefly on CBS in 2002. It followed three Air Force officers as they trained to become pilots of F-15 fighter jets at Tyndall Air Force Base outside of Panama City, Florida. The series included footage of their experiences in the air, as well as interactions with their families and instructors. Directors Tony Scott and Ridley Scott were co-executive producers. Unsuccessful in the ratings, the series was cancelled after two episodes.

The series was produced by Kismet Productions in association with SBS TV Australia. Presented by Maeve O'Meara, each episode covers cuisine from a particular culture. Usually starting with commonly used ingredients and where to obtain them in Australia, it then moves onto the preparation and consumption of popular favourites, basic dishes and desserts. The series was rested in 2008 after the airing of the third series with a spin-off series, Italian Food Safari, airing in 2010, presented by O'Meara and chef Guy Grossi. A second spin-off series, French Food Safari, aired in 2011 and was presented by O'Meara and chef Guillaume Brahimi. Food Safari was commissioned for a fourth series and will return February 14, 2013.
