Goldie Gold and Action Jack is a 1981 American animated series produced by Ruby-Spears that aired for one season on ABC. It follows the random adventures of wealthy teenage girl, Goldie Gold, who owns the Gold Street Journal, and her ace reporter companion, Action Jack Travis, plus Goldie's dog, Nugget. Thirteen episodes were produced.

Nishiyama Satomi (nicknamed "Limit") is the daughter of Professor Nishiyama. One year she was mortally wounded during a plane crash. Her father was able to revive her, by making her a cyborg. As a cyborg she is gifted with “Miracle Powers” and several different accessories that aid her in solving different problems. Her red beret can be used as a radio to contact her father, and her boots have super speed. She is also able to transform with her pendant. Limit-chan also has a robot pet dog named Guu. Limit keeps her cybernetic powers a secret, as she fears being shunned by society. She keeps to herself, and sometimes keeps distance from others. Her secret is only known by her father and his assistants. In the final episode she reveals her secret to her teachers.

The story of the Gunparade series takes place in an alternate reality. By the end of World War II, in 1945, an alien race called the Genju suddenly descended upon the war-torn Earth to take it over. United for the first time in human history against an unprecedented threat mankind have fought the Genjyu for over half a century, only to see their world slowly swallowed by the devastating foe invading the planet. Jumping forward to present day (sometime in the year 1999) in the Japanese region of Kyushu we discover the humans are fighting back with newly devised weapons known as Humanoid Walking Tanks (HWT), and the hideous power which is the PBE bomb against the Genju "Brains" leading the assaults on the few safe havens that remain.
