The series was initially broadcast as a pilot on Channel 4 on 6 November 2009, part of the Comedy Showcase season of comedy pilots. A full series commenced on 5 April 2011, with the first episode being a reshot and expanded pilot. Many critics claimed it was too similar to Green Wing and that much of the humour was offensive.
