It follows the adventures of an imaginative blue hippopotamus and his best friends, Chic'o, the inquisitive chicken, and Greens, the busy frog who never looks before he leaps. The idea, which is designed to be both educational and entertaining for a preschool audience, was devised by an architect called Christian Skjott. In Canada it was broadcast on CBC Television.

The Great American Dream Machine was a weekly satirical variety television series, produced in New York City by WNET and broadcast on PBS from 1971 to 1973. The program was hosted by humorist and commentator Marshall Efron. The show centered around skits and satirical political commentary. The hour and a half long show usually contained at least seven different current event topics. In the second season, the show was trimmed down to an hour. Other notable cast members included Chevy Chase. Contributors included Albert Brooks and Andy Rooney. Some of the skits would later be revamped for the movie The Groove Tube. There were also occasional short films presented on the show, most of them "experimental" or documentaries about artistic endeavours. Some of these were subtitled.

Most episodes last about five minutes and are set in Plop's milk inn or in Kabouter forest. The stories often involve pranks by naughty Kabouter Klus. Each episode starts with Plop lying in bed and reviewing what happened the past day. At the end of the episode he says he goes to "Kabouter dream land". Most episodes contain a moral.

Aimed at 3 to 8 year olds based on the ideas of Harvard University development psychologist Howard Gardner. The series was linked with the school curricula through the Curriculum Corporation of Australia. The different episodes used stories and locations to explore subjects such as jealousy, loneliness and anger.

Its target audience is children in the age of 2–6 years old. The program is created using computer-generated imagery animation. The show is narrated by Rik Mayall. The Jellabies are jelly made people that live in the Jolly Jelly World, which is the magical land at the end of the rainbow, where their main job is to make rainbows. Although each Jellabie has its own vehicle to drive around in, their main use of travelling long distances around Jolly Jelly World is on the "Jelly train", a train that only consists of a cab and one passenger car. The show debuted in 1998 and ended in 2003. For children the voice-over explains a lot of things from everyday life, either the objects, as well as basic culture,.

It was produced by Michigan State University and premiered in 1972 during National 4-H Week in Washington, D.C. The show was named for the hobo dish, and each of the six half-hour episodes gave school-age children information about nutrition. Produced by V. "Buddy" Renfro, Mulligan Stew featured a multi-racial group of five kids: Maggie, Mike, Micki, Manny, and Mulligan, plus one adult, Wilbur Dooright. The group went on nutritional adventures around the globe, although the series' filming usually stuck close to Lansing, Michigan School packages included a companion comic book with further adventures of the characters, reviews of things learned from the show, and lyrics to the show's songs.
