It was hosted by Edward Mulhare and dealt with topics of a paranormal nature, as well as mysterious historical events. It was similar to the 1970s/1980s series In Search of.... "Secrets of the Unknown invites you into the world of the bizarre, strange, and unusual. From ninjas who are said to transform into panthers, to the peculiar myths and rituals surrounding King Tut's tomb, to Hitler's occult connections, these documentaries provide a rich visual showcase for unexplained phenomena." The series consisted of 26 episodes, written by Erik Nelson and produced by Craig Haffner. It was released on home video in the late 1980s to the early 2000s under the title Secrets of the Unknown.

    Time Team America is an American television series that airs on PBS. It premiered on July 8, 2009. It is an Oregon Public Broadcasting adaptation of the British show Time Team, produced in collaboration with Channel 4 which commissioned the original show, in which a team of archeologists and other experts are given 72 hours to excavate an historic site. The U.S. version features "freelance and university-affiliated experts [who] mostly join existing excavations...[and] arrive with resources that the archaeologists already on the case usually can’t afford and specific questions that, if answered, will advance the understanding of the site." A second season was announced on October 18, 2011, scheduled to shoot during the summer of 2012 and to air in 2013. On December 20, 2011 it was announced that Justine Shapiro would host the second season.

    Dr. Wonder's Workshop is an American Christian children's show targeted largely to a deaf/hard-of-hearing populace, and airs nationally on the Smile of a Child network during the week, and on TBN Saturday mornings as part of their Smile of a Child block. A few local independent stations also air the show as well. The main characters are all deaf, and speak in American Sign Language. For non-deaf viewers, the show is done with voiceover narration, and a Spanish-language closed-captioning is also provided as well as English closed-captioning by the National Captioning Institute. The show is produced by Silent Blessings/Deaf Ministries, based in Indianapolis, Indiana.
