    Leonardo is a British children's television series broadcast on CBBC. The show is an adventure programme starring Jonathan Bailey as teenage Leonardo da Vinci. In 15th-century Florence, young Leonardo and his friends try to solve mysteries in 15th century Florence. His group includes fellow artists Lisa Gherardini—who disguises herself as boy named Tom—Machiavelli, and Lorenzo De Medici. Leo and Tom become apprentices at Verrocchio's workshop, where the maestro himself teaches them new artistic skills. A second series premiered on 20 September 2012, wherein actor James Clyde replaced Alistair McGowan in the role of Piero de' Medici. It was announced on 21 January 2013 that Leonardo would not be recommissioned.

    Fables of the Green Forest is an anime adaption based on a series of books published in the 1910s and 1920s by Thornton W. Burgess which ran on the Japanese network Fuji TV from 7 January 1973–30 December 1973. It consists of 52 episodes and was created by the animation studio Zuiyo Eizo. The series has been aired in many countries outside Japan, such as Germany, Spain, Romania, Portugal, Venezuela and Canada. The release of the series into Canada was done through Ziv International in 1978.

It consists of five episodes and covers the period from the death of his father, Pepin the Short in AD 768 until Charlemagne's corronation as the first Holy Roman Emperor on Christmas Day, AD 800. However, there is a minor chronological anachronism: in an earlier episode, we see Widukind, the king of the Saxons surrender and convert to Christianity, which didn't happen until AD 803. This program was directed by Clive Donner and based primarily on the contemporary biography of Charlemagne written by Einhard, who knew Charlemagne personally.

    The time is 972 A.D. in Kyoto, the capital of ancient Japan.
