Quelli dell'intervallo is an Italian situation comedy produced by Disney Channel Italy. The show focuses on kids as they chat and get into unexpected situations while at a window in their school. After Disney's success with the show, the idea was replicated throughout continental Europe, and eventually Asia, Australia, and the United States. In total, fourteen different shows have spun off from Quelli dell'intervallo. The show finally ended in 2009 ending the series with Quelli dell'intervallo - In Vacanza. The show ended with the kids finishing school going to High School.

Dance on Sunset is a dance and music series hosted by Quddus on Nickelodeon that featured dance routines, called the "Fresh-Squeezed Dance", designed to be performed by its pre-teen and teen-age viewers. Choreographer Tony Testa and the show's dance troupe, the Nick 6, demonstrated each routine slowly, repeating it several times during the episode. An "advanced" version of each routine was featured on the show's website. Episodes featured musical guests, which included Akon, Natasha Bedingfield, Miranda Cosgrove, Fall Out Boy, Fergie, Janet Jackson, Sean Kingston, Lil' Mama, Jesse McCartney, Menudo, Omarion, Panic! at the Disco and Ashlee Simpson, as well as dancing by a studio audience. The show premiered March 29, 2008, immediately after the 2008 Kids' Choice Awards. The name 'On Sunset' came from the production location Nickelodeon On Sunset on Sunset Boulevard in Hollywood. Freetime was a twice-weekly children's television programme shown on ITV between 1981 and 1985. Produced by Thames Television, it was a magazine format show devoted to hobbies and interests, and was designed to encourage viewers to get out and about rather than staying at home and watching television. It was hosted by the former Magpie presenter Mick Robertson. He was initially joined on set by Trudy Dance, but she was soon replaced by Kim Goody until it was axed by the network in 1985. On 16 September 1988, Thames Television briefly re-launched Freetime, this time fronted by Andi Peters, but the series was cancelled after its fifteenth and final edition on 23 December 1988.

Escape from Scorpion Island is a BAFTA-nominated BBC children's TV adventure game show in which contestants try to 'escape from an exotic island with a mind of its own' by doing various challenges to improve their chances of escaping. Series 1 was made by RDF Television for CBBC. Series 2 onwards were produced by Foundation/Freehand for CBBC and ABC Television in Australia. Its fifth series was broadcast in 2011. A sixth series was confirmed and due to air in late 2013. Each series contains a different number of contestants who work in set teams to try to escape the sentient island. The contestants are children who are 11–14 years old. Each series introduces a different number of contestants, new challenges and different storylines.

The Moment of Truth was a game show based on the Japanese format Happy Family Plan that was produced by LWT and was broadcast on ITV from 5 September 1998 to 29 September 2001. It was hosted by Cilla Black. A similar show, Celebrities Under Pressure followed two years after The Moment of Truth ended. The format was strikingly similar, except that celebrities partook in challenges on behalf of the family, rather than a family member.

Yuen is a music teacher as well as a househusband. He meets, falls in love, and marries an optimistic TV scriptwriter, Ting, in a rush. Ruri, having been abandoned by her mother to a foster care facility, lives a life of reckless abandonment. When Nakama Yuzo, a kind man but for a trigger-happy temper, runs into Ruri he realizes that perhaps she's the child he's been looking for. Yuzo lives in Hatomijima, a small insland in Okinawa where the population is 49 and the average age group is 61. There are no children. The island has only one school - a primary school. If a child is not enrolled in the school, it will be closed. As a result, society will abandon the island and in a few years, it will cease to have any inhabitants. To save their island, the locals decide to bring in a foster child. Ruri is their candidate, and with her she brings the hope of the island's survival.

Bigfoot Presents: Meteor and the Mighty Monster Trucks is a children's show on Discovery Kids, that premiered in the fall of 2006 and was produced by Endgame Entertainment and Bigfoot. It is a CGI-style animation, presenting the fictional adventures of some monster trucks with the personalities of young children. In 2007, Bigfoot Presents: Meteor and the Mighty Monster Trucks was nominated for an Emmy Award in the Outstanding Special Class Animated Program category. Head writers credited on the show were Ken Cuperus, Alice Prodanou and Dave Dias. The series was cancelled on October 11, 2010, because of the last day of Discovery Kids' broadcast. Its successor, Hub Network, has not included it in their lineup, so the ending of the series is in limbo. It is currently seen on Simle of a Child as "Monster Truck Adventures".

The Nicktoons Animation Festival is an annual event that was created by producer Fred Seibert and produced for its first three years by his Frederator Studios. Founded in 2004 to showcase the diversity of worldwide animation filmmaking, it is the largest multiplatform animation festival in North America. The festival features a selection of animated shorts from around the globe. Shorts selected for the festival have the chance to be aired on Nicktoons Network, online and to be showcased at the live event in Los Angeles in October. Several prizes are awarded each year. Animators under 18 years old are eligible to enter the Greater Creator Contest. New to the festival in 2008 is the “I Got Game” Contest in partnership with AddictingGames, and a contest for Lego filmmakers, sponsored by Lego.

Endurance is an American reality television children's program, previously shown on the Discovery Kids cable network in the United States and also on networks in other countries. The show's format is somewhat similar to the CBS television series Survivor, though with a teenaged cast. Endurance contestants live in a remote location and participate in various mental and physical challenges, although Endurance contestants compete as pairs, and the outcome of the competitions determines which pair of players is eliminated. In its six-year run between 2002–2008, each season began with a new slate of contestants, who were gradually eliminated as the season progressed until the remaining two teams competed to get all of the Endurance Pyramid pieces. The winning boy and girl received an all-expenses paid vacation package with their parents to an exotic location as the prize. Bamzooki is a mixed reality television gameshow on the BBC which features a toolkit developed by Gameware Development. The first series aired in March 2004 on CBBC. The show was presented by Jake Humphrey. It has occasionally featured specials with Sophie McDonnell. In July 2008, it was announced on CBBC on BBC One that Bamzooki was returning.
