The show focused on a group of students living at Discovery House, a dorm at the Oaks boarding school. Tanhaiyaan is a 1985 Pakistani drama serial which is now considered a cult classic. The drama serial was directed by the legendary Shahzad Khalil and was written by the famous drama writer Haseena Moin. Tanhaiyan featured an ensemble star cast of veterans such as Shehnaz Sheikh, Marina Khan, Badar Khalil, Azra Sherwani, Asif Raza Mir, Behroze Sabzwari, Qazi Wajid, Jamshed Ansari, Yasmeen Ismail, Durdana Butt, Mohammad Yousaf, Sultana Zafar, Subhani Ba Younas and Imtiaz Ali. It is the story of two sisters who lose their parents and go to live with their aunt. One of their efforts to buy back their parents' house leads them to realise what makes a house a home. It has re-run several times on PTV and other TV channels, owing to its popularity.

Bobinogs is a children's television programme shown most recently on the BBC channel CBeebies in the UK. It debuted for a Welsh audience, but in 2003 started being broadcast in the English market. It originally featured a child and three characters who lived in his hat: inanimate when he was present, but active when he was out. This aspect of the series was later dropped dropped; the characters are now active from the beginning of the programme. The three main characters play in a band. A typical episode involves them trying to solve some sort of problem, then performing a song about it at the end. At one point in the episode they will obtain a clue to the problem's solution by looking through their "bobinoculars", which show video footage from the real world. Bobinogs has been sold to television stations throughout the world since its launch in 2003.

Dance on Sunset is a dance and music series hosted by Quddus on Nickelodeon that featured dance routines, called the "Fresh-Squeezed Dance", designed to be performed by its pre-teen and teen-age viewers. Choreographer Tony Testa and the show's dance troupe, the Nick 6, demonstrated each routine slowly, repeating it several times during the episode. An "advanced" version of each routine was featured on the show's website. Episodes featured musical guests, which included Akon, Natasha Bedingfield, Miranda Cosgrove, Fall Out Boy, Fergie, Janet Jackson, Sean Kingston, Lil' Mama, Jesse McCartney, Menudo, Omarion, Panic! at the Disco and Ashlee Simpson, as well as dancing by a studio audience. The show premiered March 29, 2008, immediately after the 2008 Kids' Choice Awards. The name 'On Sunset' came from the production location Nickelodeon On Sunset on Sunset Boulevard in Hollywood. Freetime was a twice-weekly children's television programme shown on ITV between 1981 and 1985. Produced by Thames Television, it was a magazine format show devoted to hobbies and interests, and was designed to encourage viewers to get out and about rather than staying at home and watching television. It was hosted by the former Magpie presenter Mick Robertson. He was initially joined on set by Trudy Dance, but she was soon replaced by Kim Goody until it was axed by the network in 1985. On 16 September 1988, Thames Television briefly re-launched Freetime, this time fronted by Andi Peters, but the series was cancelled after its fifteenth and final edition on 23 December 1988.

Escape from Scorpion Island is a BAFTA-nominated BBC children's TV adventure game show in which contestants try to 'escape from an exotic island with a mind of its own' by doing various challenges to improve their chances of escaping. Series 1 was made by RDF Television for CBBC. Series 2 onwards were produced by Foundation/Freehand for CBBC and ABC Television in Australia. Its fifth series was broadcast in 2011. The Moment of Truth was a game show based on the Japanese format Happy Family Plan that was produced by LWT and was broadcast on ITV from 5 September 1998 to 29 September 2001. The format was strikingly similar, except that celebrities partook in challenges on behalf of the family, rather than a family member.

Yuen is a music teacher as well as a househusband. He meets, falls in love, and marries an optimistic TV scriptwriter, Ting, in a rush. Unfortunately, before they can adjust to the newlywed life, they suddenly become “parents” of five nephews and nieces. Yuen and Ting move from a small family into a big house to live with five nieces and nephews. Although their personalities and principles in teaching the children are complete opposites, they can always manage to solve any problems with their love.
