A Thousand and One... Americas is an animated television series originally produced from 1989 to 1991 in Spain by BRB Internacional to celebrate the 5th centenary of Christopher Columbus' voyage to America.
The series focuses on the adventures of Chris, a 10 year old boy, and his yellowish dog Lon. Chris accidentally discovers an old book at the attic which belonged to his grandfather, which he brought with him from his journeys. The book makes him and his dog drift through imagination to historical occurrences of different nations which lived in America before it was discovered by Columbus in 1492.
The series has been dubbed and subtitled in English, Spanish, Serbian and Hebrew.
You Should Be So Lucky! was a BBC children's television programme hosted by Colin Bennett in the character of Vince Purity. It was a game show, during which contestants played on a giant snakes and ladders board. Points were earned by their team partners through talent tasks.
Genie in the House is a British sitcom broadcast on Nickelodeon UK about a widowed father with two teenage daughters who find a dusty old golden lamp while exploring the loft of their new home. A quick rub of the lamp releases Adil, a trainee genie from Balamkadaar who has been confined to life in the lamp for 1000 years. Philip has banned any use of magic in the house, yet the girls and Adil the Genie find ways to get themselves into trouble using Adil's wish granting powers. The mother is never mentioned, except on Adil's birthday when Philip mentions being a widower. As of March 2012, Genie in the House is now airing on the Starz Kids & Family cable network.

A boy and his sister and brother pilot a canal narrow boat from north-east Wales to London. With a girl they meet on the way, they learn about the history of British canals and of the people who live and work on the waterways today.
The plot follows a trio born on a plane to a pilot mother. Throughout their lives they wander the world between countries. In each episode they arrive in a different country and stay at the local hotel. Although they always promise their mother that they will travel the world, they stay in the hotel room and watch TV. The exception is the last episode (which takes place in Australia), where they go on a trip. The series is accompanied by animated clips explaining the country the brothers arrived in accompanied by narration by the actor Alon Abutbul.
