The Grind was a dance music show broadcast on the cable television station MTV between 1992 and 1997. It replaced Club MTV, and featured people dancing to music tracks in a studio, linked by various hosts, including Eric Nies and DJ Jackie Christie. While Club MTV was mostly Dance, House and Freestyle, The Grind featured Hip-Hop and Rap with an occasional Dance hit. The show spawned a number of aerobics and workout videotapes. When MTV moved to its current location at 1515 Broadway, they lost the studio where Club MTV and The Grind were originally taped and episodes were taped on the roof of the building. The new space was small and inclement weather prevented taping. Noise ordinances prevented playing loud music while taping outdoors, so the show had to be taped without music and dubbed in later. Other installments went to Zuma Beach in California, Brooklyn, Miami and Hawaii. Nies was replaced in 1995 by various guest hosts. Don't Blame Me is an Australian children's television program. In the United Kingdom the show is known as Don't Blame the Koalas. The series was originally screened on the Nine Network and has also screened on ABC3. The show is set in Waratah Park, an Australian wildlife park in the Ku-ring-gai National Park where the King family arrive from England to live with their Australian relatives after going bankrupt. Before they arrive they believe they have inherited a large cattle ranch, but on arrival are disappointed to meet a largely unprofitable, slightly run down wildlife park. Most of the comedy in the series is slightly surreal in a Round the Twist style way. Special effects and sounds are used to convey the characters actions mixed in with slightly speeded up footage when walking.

The Great American Dream Machine was a weekly satirical variety television series, produced in New York City by WNET and broadcast on PBS from 1971 to 1973. The program was hosted by humorist and commentator Marshall Efron. The show centered around skits and satirical political commentary. The hour and a half long show usually contained at least seven different current event topics. In the second season, the show was trimmed down to an hour. Other notable cast members included Chevy Chase. Contributors included Albert Brooks and Andy Rooney. Some of the skits would later be revamped for the movie The Groove Tube. There were also occasional short films presented on the show, most of them "experimental" or documentaries about artistic endeavours. Some of these were subtitled.

Sugar is a TV cooking show shown on Food Network Canada hosted by Canadian pastry chef Anna Olson. The official show description reads "Anna Olson satisfies sweet cravings with great dessert recipes and guides viewers from making to plating with presentation ideas to dress up any dessert." Premiered in October 2002, Sugar is a half-hour show which specializes in desserts. Each episode has a theme ingredient. Host Anna Olson makes one simple dessert with the theme ingredient in the first part of the show. During the second and third part, she creates a more elaborate or decadent dessert with the same ingredient. Finally, during the last few minutes of the program called the "Switch-Up", Anna re-invents the first dessert with a few tricks and turns it into something more special. Sugar aired for five seasons on Food Network Canada and its 151 episodes has been syndicated in 40 countries.

Circle Square was a Canadian children's television series that ran from 1974 to 1986. The series was produced by Crossroads Christian Communications in cooperation with the Circle Square network of summer camps for children of Christian parents. Mixing human actors — both youth and adult counselors — with puppets in a Sesame Street-like manner, the series was set at a Circle Square Library. Each episode taught a lesson in moral values and Christian faith. The series was syndicated to Canada and the United States, and usually aired in a weekend slot on stations that also aired Crossroads' 100 Huntley Street. 1984-1986 reruns of Circle Square were formerly shown Saturday mornings on the Trinity Broadcasting Network until late 2005 or early 2006. In 2003 a pilot for a new version of Circle Square called Circle Square Network was produced by Crossroads, but was never picked up. Episodes of the original Circle Square program can be viewed on the Circle Square Ranch website.

You Asked for It was a popular human interest show created and hosted by Art Baker. Initially titled The Art Baker Show, the program originally aired on American television between 1950 and 1959. Later versions of the series were seen in 1972, 1981, and 2000. On the show, viewers were asked to send in postcards describing something that they wanted to see on television, such as the reenactment of William Tell shooting an apple off his son's head. The show was originally broadcast live, so some of the riskier propositions took on added elements of danger and suspense. A segment where animal trainer and stuntman, Reed Parham wrestled a huge, deadly anaconda, for example, nearly became disastrous until assistants interceded with guns drawn, visibly unnerving host Art Baker.
