Though a remake-adaptation of a Mexican telenovela the setting and some of the storylines were altered. Directed by Joyce E. It was aired internationally with a one week delay on GMA Pinoy TV, which became a huge success to Filipino viewers abroad. It was officially announced on August 31, 2009, and premiered on October 25, 2010, on Cartoon Network. Robotomy was canceled on January 24, 2011. It is Cartoon Network's shortest-running original series, as well as with the least number of episodes. Robotomy was officially removed from Cartoon Network's website on February 11, 2011. On January 11, 2013, the series returned to television in reruns, albeit in a minor role. Episodes of the series could be seen from time to time on the revived Cartoon Planet block.

When it seems that Dai and Avan's other student Pop are doomed a mark appears on Dai's forehead and he suddenly gains super powers and is able to fend off Hadlar. The two students then go off on a journey to avenge Avan and bring peace back to the world.
