Something Weird Video presents the Halloween return of Elvira "Mistress of the Dark" hosting a series of classic B-Movie favourites On Comcast Video On Demand. Elvira is back hosting a brand new series of comical introductions, intermissions and wrap-ups for seven films from the infamous “Something Weird Video Library” being shown from October 15th 2006 to November 15th 2006 as part of Comcast’s On Demand Programming for Halloween. The promotion will run simultaneously under both the " Free Movies " and “Something Weird" (Under "Cutting Edge") Sections On Comcast Video on Demand and on Comcast.net. The seven Elvira hosted films will be the the first full-length movies to be shown on Comcast.net.

Heavily inspired by the story of Lí Ban, the series follows the titular 12-year-old character and her dog Con as they mysteriously transform into a mermaid and a sea otter. As they explore the deep sea in search of answers, they encounter gods, monsters, giants, and wily humans. The series debuted on both TG4 and Cúla4 on 15 October 2024, and was also made available for streaming on Cúla4's website. It is distributed internationally by Aardman. A Welsh language dub of the series was broadcast on S4C. The series was made with funding support from Coimisiún na Meán and Northern Ireland Screen's Screen Fund, and the Irish Language Broadcast Fund.

On 23rd January 1965, the Daleks made their first appearance in their own full colour comic strip on the back page of the lavish new children's weekly comic TV Century 21. Written largely by David Whitaker, who was the series' original script editor, and illustrated by such legendary comic strip artists as Richard Jennings, Ron Turner and Eric Eden, this popular one-page strip ran for 104 instalments, and finally concluded on the brink of the Daleks' planned attack on the inhabitants of Earth. These strips have been reprinted many times in Dalek Annuals and other Doctor Who-related books, plus Doctor Who Weekly, Doctor Who Monthly and Doctor Who Classic Comics, as well as being issued complete and in colour as a special edition magazine. Because of the difference between a comic strip and a video feature, a certain amount of adaptation was inevitable. If the stories had been transferred exactly as written, then each one would have lasted only about five minutes and been so breathlessly fast-paced as to be virtual

Eiji uses the blueprints included in the box to assemble the kit, but it seems as though 1% part of the kit is still missing. In the franchise, the word "Pikachin" means the flash of inspiration or insight one gets about a new project, similar to the visual of a lightbulb turning on above one's head when someone has an idea. The concept of the franchise is "invention is 99% plastic models, 1% inspiration."
