Million Dollar Money Drop is an American game show which aired on Fox in the United States and Canada. It is based on the UK series The Million Pound Drop Live. However, unlike the original UK version, it was not broadcast live, and there were several changes to the format. The show premiered on December 20, 2010, and was hosted by Kevin Pollak. On February 21, 2011, buzzerblog.com announced a potential second season to air in the summer along with a board game as well. On May 18, 2011, TVSeriesFinale.com reported that Fox had cancelled Million Dollar Money Drop and would not be producing a second season. However, more than 15 different international versions of the program will continue to air in other countries. There has been no comment from FOX as to why Million Dollar Money Drop was cancelled, though there's speculation it was due to its initial low ratings.Gordon Ramsay's Secret Service

The show was then canceled two days later by Fox after rating poorly in comparison to its slot competitors, Lost and CBS's Criminal Minds. It was produced by the British company 12 Yard, who also produced Weakest Link and Dog Eat Dog. It featured competitors making lists of things, such as ABBA songs or Steven Spielberg movies, with the winning team being the one that could name the most. British television presenter Eamonn Holmes was the host. In the episode, Holmes stated, "Our top prize is so big...well, we don't have a top prize!" The show was created by Mark Burnett, the creator of Survivor. It was canceled shortly before the last three episodes of the series could be broadcast due to dismal ratings. However, sister station Fox Reality Channel picked up The Casino and broadcast the unaired episodes and then ran the series in re-runs until its cancellation from that network.
