    TV Patrol Central Visayas is the local news network broadcast of the ABS-CBN Regional Network Group in Mandaue City. It has been the most watched news program in Metro Cebu and the Central Visayas region. The program delivers news headlines about the current events in Central Visayas. It is aired live daily from the ABS-CBN Channel 3 Cebu at 5:00 PM, from Monday to Friday, with simulcast over ABS-CBN TV-12 Dumaguete and TV-9 Bohol and on radio thru DYAB Radyo Patrol 1512 Cebu. Anchored by Leo Lastimosa, TV Patrol Central Visayas had been recognized by Catholic Mass Media Awards as Best TV News Program in 2005 and in 2008. It was further given recognition by Cebu Archdiocesan Media Awards as the Best TV News Program in 2007 and 2009.

    The Kudlow Report is a news television program about business and politics hosted by Lawrence Kudlow, that airs on the CNBC television channel at 7pm ET. The show began airing on January 26, 2009. It is a successor to Kudlow & Company, which aired from 2005 until October 2008. Kudlow & Company was a spinoff of the show Kudlow & Cramer which Kudlow co-hosted from 2002 to 2005. Kudlow & Cramer was called America Now from 2001 to 2002. Transcripts of Kudlow's comments on the program are available on Kudlow's blog, Kudlow's Money Politic$. On October 10, 2007, CNBC moved Kudlow & Company from the 5pm ET to the 7pm ET timeslot, being replaced by Fast Money. During the show's opening, Kudlow recites the "Kudlow creed", summarizing the show's politico-economic inclination: "We believe that free market capitalism is the best path to prosperity!"

    News on Q was the flagship evening newscast of the Q network in the Philippines. It was produced by GMA Network through GMA News and Public Affairs. Connie Sison and Ivan Mayrina were the final anchors of the newscast. Launched in November 11, 2005, it used to air at 21:00 on all Q stations in the country, and was originally hosted by Ivan Mayrina and Rhea Santos. The tandem of Rhea Santos and Ivan Mayrina was formed from the GMA defunct show Pinoy Abroad. On March 5, 2007, in line with the network's rebranding, News on Q's medium shifted from the usual Filipino to English. In 2008, economist Winnie Monsod became its newest segment reporter on the country's issues. On August 11, 2008, along with Balitanghali, 24 Oras and Saksi, it was repackaged with a new theme, new set, new OBB, and a new set. In 2009, from the usual 30 minutes, the runtime was extended to 45 minutes.     Weekend Live was an American news/talk television program on Fox News Channel. The program featured live news story updates from correspondents, analysis from a number of different regular contributors, interviews with newsmakers of the week, and regular subject specific segments. Compared to other programming on the network, it didn't feature a commentary segment, but does have regular one-minute "Fox Real Time" news recaps. Broadcast live from the network's Washington, D.C. studios from 2:00-4:00 p.m. Saturday and 12:00–2:00 p.m. Sunday ET, the show was hosted by Bret Baier. The show had been previously hosted by Tony Snow from 2002 until 2003 on both ends of the weekend, and from 2003 until his departure to join the White House, on Saturdays, followed by Brian Wilson. The program ran as America's Election Headquarters, using that title during the 2008 presidential election campaign. The Weekend Live name was ultimately dropped altogether on November 5, 2008 and was retitled as America's News HQ.

    QT: QueerTelevision was a Canadian television newsmagazine series, which aired on Citytv and CablePulse 24 in the late 1990s. Focusing on lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender issues, the series was hosted by Irshad Manji. In addition to coverage of general LGBT issues in Canada, the show was one of the venues where she developed some of her early ideas about the reform of Islam. The series began in 1997 on CablePulse 24 as The Q Files. It changed its name to QT: QueerTelevision in 1998 when it was added to Citytv's schedule, to fit in with that channel's other news and information series such as FashionTelevision, Breakfast Television and MediaTelevision. The series ended in 2001. The series was also broadcast via streaming video on the LGBT website PlanetOut.

    Eyewitness to History was a CBS Friday night public affairs program which was initially hosted by veteran broadcaster Charles Kuralt, followed by Walter Cronkite, and Charles Collingwood. It aired from September 30, 1960 through July 26, 1963, sponsored by Firestone Tire and Rubber Company. This show concentrated on the most significant news story or stories, reviewing the events. The show's title was shortened to Eyewitness in 1961. Coincidentally, many local CBS affiliates adopted the branding "Eyewitness News" for their local newscasts in the 1960s. One of the show's producers, Av Westin, went on to become executive producer of ABC Evening News and, later, 20/20.

    Undercurrents was a Canadian television newsmagazine series in the 1990s, hosted by Wendy Mesley. The series, which first aired in 1994, primarily concentrated on investigative and documentary reports about media and technology, such as examining media coverage of controversial issues. Mesley won two Gemini Awards for her work on Undercurrents, in 1999 and 2001. In 2001, Undercurrents was folded into the new series CBC News: Disclosure, cohosted by Mesley and Diana Swain. The new show did not continue to discuss the media or technology, much to the disappointment of loyal Undercurrents viewers.
