    Fox Business Morning was an early morning business newscast that aired on the Fox Business Network from 5-7am Eastern Time. Anchored by Jenna Lee and Connell McShane, it was the first show to be aired on the network when it launched October 15, 2007. Nicole Petallides served as Jenna Lee's original co-anchor before she was replaced with McShane on May 12, 2008. Originally airing as a one-hour program, Fox Business Morning expanded to two hours on May 12, 2008. The second hour of this program replaced the first hour of Money for Breakfast, which in turn, contracted to two hours. Fox Business Morning once again contracted to 1 hour on October 5, 2009 to make way for Imus in the Morning. The show was canceled May 7, 2010 and was replaced by a Best of Imus in the Morning hour at 5am ET, an hour before the live Imus broadcast at 6am ET.

    Sunday Edition was a Canadian television public affairs program which aired from 1988 to 1999. The program was hosted by Mike Duffy and originated at CJOH-TV in Ottawa. Over the course of its run, it aired in several different time slots from late Sunday morning to early Sunday afternoons. Its format was similar to that of U.S. Sunday morning talk shows. The program was not originally part of the CTV network schedule, but rather a program co-operatively produced by several CTV affiliates. Sunday Edition later became part of the Baton Broadcast System schedule, and only officially became a CTV program in late 1997 after Baton Broadcasting's acquisition of the network. The CTV News-produced Question Period, which had been cancelled in the mid-1990s apparently due to the success of Sunday Edition, was revived in 2001 and now fills a similar role.

    ABC Scope is a public affairs program that appeared on the ABC television network from 1964–1968, hosted by Howard K. Smith, the future anchor of the ABC Evening News. News reporters Louis Rukeyser, Frank Reynolds and John Scali also appeared. The program provided its viewer with an in-depth look at the important political, economic and social issues that the world faced in the mid-to-late 1960s. Although Smith hosted the show, the program provided its audience with one-on-one interviews of important newsmakers, documentaries on various subjects and roundtable discussions between a group of experts.

    First National was a Canadian television newscast, which aired on the Global Television Network's stations in Ontario and Manitoba from 1994 to 2001. It was also seen in Quebec after Global launched there in 1997. The program's anchor was Peter Kent. Although the newscast aired in only three provinces at most, its format was that of a national newscast, broadcasting national and international, rather than local, news. On February 9, 2001, following Global's acquisition of the WIC group of stations, First National aired its final broadcast. Global aired WIC's Canada Tonight in its place until Global National debuted on September 4. Kent then moved into a management role with the network; he later left broadcasting to pursue a career in Canadian politics.

    Channel M News was a regional television news service covering the ten boroughs of Greater Manchester, produced by Channel M, partly in conjunction with the Manchester Evening News. Launched in 2004, Channel M News aired each weekday evening alongside a weekly review programme and occasional documentary specials. Breakfast, lunchtime and late evening news bulletins were also produced throughout the programme's run. Channel M News was produced and broadcast from the station's studios at Urbis and the MEN Media newsroom at Spinningfields in Manchester City Centre. The programme had previously been pre-recorded from small temporary studios in The Triangle shopping centre, The Printworks entertainment complex and Urbis before going live from a new, larger studio at Urbis in May 2006, looking out towards Cathedral Gardens and the Manchester Victoria railway station. The final evening edition of Channel M News was broadcast on Friday 10 July 2009. From Monday 13 July 2009, the station's news coverage was incorporated

    Daybreak Northern Ireland was the regional news strand for Northern Ireland provided for the ITV breakfast station ITV Breakfast. Unlike the ITV plc-owned regions, UTV - the ITV contractor for Northern Ireland - did not provide regional news broadcasts during Daybreak. This was due to a dispute between UTV and GMTV which dates back to 1994 when UTV opted out of the national breakfast contractor in breach of their broadcasting licence to provide live coverage of the breaking news of the Combined Loyalist ceasefire. GMTV Northern Ireland was rebranded as Daybreak Northern Ireland in September 2010, when GMTV was replaced by new breakfast programme, Daybreak. Regional bulletins aired three times each weekday, and included a look at the days main headlines, a travel news update, and a weather forecast.
