He traveled across the United States to amusement parks and other entertainment venues to experience and promote various roller coasters, water rides, and unusual sports. Bert was known for his uncontrollable screaming in early episodes of the show. Each episode took part in a single U.S. state, and each episode was titled with the name of the state in which that episode takes place.
