Studio 2 was a daily current affairs newsmagazine on TVOntario in Ontario, Canada. The show won several Gemini Awards, and was hosted by Steve Paikin and Paula Todd, and first aired in 1994. TVOntario announced the program's termination on June 29, 2006. The final episode aired on June 30, and was replaced that fall with a new series hosted by Paikin, The Agenda. Rather than a newscast style, Studio 2 tackled certain current news stories affecting many Canadians with a focus often on Ontario. Regular topics on the show included healthcare, federal politics, provincial politics, terrorism, foreign affairs, the environment, the arts and many others. The show usually performed a deep analysis, often with open discussions among experts or even interviewing specific figures involved in the issues. Wazzup Wazzup was a comedic-news program which was previously aired on Philippine television network Studio 23. The show features Vhong Navarro, Toni Gonzaga, and Archie Alemania as news anchors who introduce segments that are delivered by 'tadjocks'. In the show's first season, the news anchors were Vhong Navarro, Toni Gonzaga and Drew Arellano. Conflicts with Arellano's programs on rival GMA Network forced him to give up the show to focus on other programs he had with GMA. Although no admission or comment had been released by ABS CBN, Wazzup Wazzup was notably very similar in form and concept with the popular Argentine show CQC which has been adapted and shown in five other countries. Wazzup Wazzup aired its last episode on July 2007.

It was broadcast at the 10:30 Eastern time slot on Sundays opposite CBS's long-running quiz show, What's My Line?, hosted by John Charles Daly, himself the first ever ABC News anchorman. He then joined ABC, where his contract stipulated that neither the network nor sponsors could interfere with the content of his program. While at CBS, Smith hosted the documentary program Behind the News with Howard K. Smith for twenty-one weeks from January 11 to September 20, 1959. Selected episodes focused on communism in Cuba, the status of Berlin, the Cold War, Charles de Gaulle, Nikita Khrushchev, unemployment in depressed areas, and the St. Lawrence Seaway.
