    Breakfast News was a breakfast news show which first aired on BBC1 on 2 October 1989. The programme was previously known as Breakfast Time. It was planned to launch on 4 September 1989 and again on the 18 September but was held back due to technical issues with its new studio The programme went through three main visual changes. The initial look lasted from launch in 4 September 1989 to 12 April 1993. The 13 April 1993 revamp saw the programme presented from the same set as the One, Six and Nine O'Clock News bulletins. A further and final revamp took place in June 1997 when 'BBC' was shorn from its title, and on-screen it became known as simply Breakfast News. It was during this final period that the tone began to shift, with the return of a sofa set, alongside more features, and more interaction between the presenting team. The final edition of Breakfast News aired on 15 September 2000, and on 2 October 2000 it relaunched as BBC Breakfast.

    BBC London News is the BBC's regional television news programme for the English region encompassing London and the surrounding areas. Its local competitor is ITV News London, which is produced by ITN for ITV London. BBC London News is broadcast seven days a week on BBC One in London and the surrounding areas, with short bulletins during BBC Breakfast, after the BBC News at One, and after the BBC News at Ten. The flagship programme airs between 18:30 and 18:55 each weekday evening and is usually presented by Riz Lateef. Weekend bulletins are broadcast on Saturday lunchtime and early evening and on Sunday evening. Lateef became the main presenter of the flagship programme in March 2006 when she replaced Emily Maitlis who left to join the BBC News channel and BBC Two's Newsnight.

Scouring the endless number of websites, blogs, and user-generated materials on the Internet, Online Nation featured everything and anything that has captured the attention of the online world.     Business Centre Europe is a business news programme once aired on CNBC Europe that replaced Europe Tonight. Airing from 18.00 UK time, Business Centre Europe was a 30-minute wrap-up of the day's top business stories in Europe and also crossed over to the US to update progress on the trading day there. The show was initially presented by Sarah Clements and then by Emma Crosby. The show took its name from CNBC US' flagship evening show, Business Center. However unlike its U.S. and Asian counterparts which used slightly different lower-thirds on screen, the show's lower-thirds were the exactly same as the ones used on CNBC Europe's other daytime programmes. The programme was canceled in late 2001 where Emma Crosby co-anchored the show preceding its timeslot, European Market Wrap along with Nigel Roberts.
